Who we are

This notice covers go.clickwise.net, operated by SOFT DEV FZ LLC, Fujairah Creative City — Media Free Zone, Twin Towers, P.O. Box 4422, Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. SOFT DEV FZ LLC is the controller responsible for the tracking operations described here. Advertisers' websites have their own privacy policies.

Information we process

When a tracking link is used, we may process the visitor's IP address, user agent (browser and device information), HTTP Referer (referring page), destination URL, request time, campaign and affiliate identifiers, source parameters and click IDs, including gclid, gbraid and wbraid where supplied. The information available depends on the request and integration.

Advertisers may send conversion postbacks: server-to-server reports of purchases or other events. These can include transaction identifiers, amounts, currency, commission information and identifiers used to match a conversion to a referral. Please avoid including sensitive information, passwords or unnecessary personal details in tracking URLs.

Cookies and tracking links

For attributed visits, the tracker may set a cookie named cwclk, scoped to go.clickwise.net, to help identify a referral. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, and Secure on HTTPS. Its duration follows the campaign's attribution window, with a default of 30 days.

The redirect works without cookies or JavaScript and is compatible with parallel tracking, where the tracking request runs separately from the visitor's journey to the advertiser's website. A cookie from a background tracking request may not be available during that website visit. You can block cookies or remove stored cookies through your browser's privacy settings. Blocking or deleting cookies may affect referral attribution.

How and why we use information

We use referral and conversion information to route visitors to the intended destination, attribute conversions, reconcile and settle affiliate commissions, resolve reporting discrepancies and disputes, prevent fraud and invalid traffic, maintain security and operate the tracking service.

Where applicable law permits, we rely on legitimate interests for attribution, commission reconciliation, security, fraud prevention and service operation. These interests include accurate referral reporting and protecting the service and its users against misuse. We rely on legal obligations for records required by accounting and other applicable laws.

Sharing and international processing

Information needed for attribution and settlement may be shared with the advertiser, affiliate and affiliate networks involved in the referral. Advertisers receive parameters included in destination URLs. Hosting and infrastructure providers process requests and records needed to run the service. We may also disclose information when required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

We operate from the United Arab Emirates. Our partners and infrastructure providers may process information in other countries, whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live. For questions about international processing concerning your information, contact us below.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed for attribution, conversion reporting, commission settlement, disputes, fraud and security investigations, and legal and accounting obligations. Retention depends on the purpose and circumstances of the records concerned. Cookie expiry is separate from retention of server-side click records, transaction records, access logs and backups.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your information, restrict processing, receive portable information, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or complain to a data protection authority.
